The IPA has been providing a community for accountants to come together, learn and grow for over 100 years. In 2023 we looked at the key milestones that have shaped our journey and were able to acknowledge that without our members, we would have not evolved into the organisation that we are today.

We now look forward to our next 100 years.

We are proud of our heritage and our members, who have contributed to make us the multifaceted, diverse community we are today.

The IPA has been on a 100-year journey, growing and changing to meet the needs of our members. We pride ourselves on our personal connection with our members, and a focus on supporting small businesses.

This connection took us across the globe in 2015 when we acquired the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) in the UK and expanded our membership base internationally. In 2020 we expanded once again by acquiring the Association of Accounting Technicians, broadening our reach to include accounting technicians.

Today we are continuing to champion and support our members and the profession both locally here in Australia and across the globe.
