Global Certified Public Accountant Pilot - Fiji Workshop

Experienced accounting professionals will have the opportunity to get a firsthand experience of the Global Certified Professional Accountant (GCPA) program in a 2-day workshop led by Dr. Rob Kay. This workshop will focus on assessing two crucial professional skills for the 21st century. Participants can earn up two micro-credentials as part of the Global Certified Professional Accountant (GCPA), covering:

  • Identifying and Understanding Problem Types (Problem-Solving)
  • Managing Teams (Teamwork and Culture)

The workshop will be highly interactive, with participants grouped into teams of 4 or 5. Together, they will tackle real-world future scenarios, developing solutions to showcase their professional skills. Assessment will be a blend of observation and semi-structured interviewing, allowing participants to demonstrate their competencies in each micro-credential. Independent assessors will grade the assessments based on participants' indicative behaviours, which will be recorded during the workshop.

Agenda:

Day 1: A welcome dinner preceding the senior leadership workshop in Fiji, providing an excellent opportunity to connect and network before the sessions begin.

Day 2: Participants will engage in envisioning future scenarios within a local context riddled with challenges. Through collaborative team efforts and trend analysis, they will craft and explore these scenarios. Subsequently, they will delve into solution development aimed at addressing the issues identified within their scenarios.

Day 3: Participants will refine their solutions and prepare persuasive pitch presentations. In the afternoon, they will undergo online interviews, forming a crucial part of the assessment process, facilitated by assessors.
